Procurement Specialist - Indirects

To support our transformation and continue to focus on culture, people and leadership we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist (Indirects) who will work with our internal business stakeholders and vendors to contribute to delivering sustainable competitive advantage for Boral. This position will be based in North Ryde next to the new Metro Station. You will have an integral part within Boral Procurement to support our vision to transform into a global industry leading procurement and commercial services network through our strategic priorities: Zero Harm Identifying and mitigating risk to our people, environment, assets and the community Value Creating and capturing value for our customers and shareholders through best practice strategic sourcing, category management and innovation People Building and supporting high-performing teams in a diverse, dynamic and rewarding environment Technology & Data Increasing efficiencies, effectiveness and transparency through technology and data What you will do Provide support to deliver the teamâ€™s assigned targets around savings / value, risk management and governance; Analyse discretionary spend data to identify and implement opportunities to: eliminate, defer, improve scope, enhance safety, manage risk, aggregate volume or increase efficiencies Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and work with them to understand the above opportunities; Lead sourcing and contracting activities in line with agreed sourcing strategies, with a focus on indirects and best practice contract and vendor performance activities; Champion a cost culture that recognises and rewards those who treat every cent of spend as though it was their own What skills you need Complex Problem Solving - Analytical and problem solving skills to apply in a commercial environment Critical Thinking - Approach problems in a consistent and systematic way.
