Ongoing and Temporary Full-Time roles Location: Mid North Coast Correctional Centre - Kempsey Package includes a salary of $68,084 â€“ $119,607 plus employerâ€™s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading About us Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community. CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.
About the role Looking for a sea change to the beautiful Mid North Coast? Corrective Services NSW is currently seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Psychologist/ Specialist Psychologist. Corrective Services NSW Psychology Services is responsible for conducting assessments and providing interventions that address the risks, needs and responsivity issues to reduce the risk of re-offending by adult offenders in correctional centres and under community supervision. Kempsey is located 5 hours north of Sydney and is surrounded by coastal towns including Crescent Head and South West Rocks, and is also close to popular tourist destinations of Port Macquarie, Nambucca Heads and Coffs Harbour providing a range of areas to reside on the coast.

Responsibilities Psychologists work as part of a team under the supervision and management of a Senior Psychologist and Regional Chief Psychologist. Psychology Services work as part of a broader multidisciplinary team, while based in a primary location, provide services across locations and centres within their cluster as the needs of each cluster are identified. Corrective Services provides training for specialised assessments in sexual and violent offenders.
About you The ideal candidate for this role will have: Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist. Experience in the provision of psychological services. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
