Early Childhood Educator/ Child Care Worker Parap Family Centre Incorporated Purpose of the position To prepare, deliver and evaluate developmentally appropriate education and care programs of children in care, whilst ensuring consistently high standards and maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework. Essential Criteria Diploma level or higher education level, qualification approved under the National Quality Framework. Hold or able to obtain a current working with Children clearance (ochre card) Hold or willing to obtain qualifications approved under the National Quality Framework, including first Aid, Emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis training.

Well developed oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality, records and information. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver developmentally appropriate education and care programs, including relevant documentation. Willingness and ability to become a certified supervisor.

Ability to work with minimal supervision, but be able to take direction and work as part of a team. Punctuality, reliability and willingness to be flexible. Preferred Criteria Previous Experience in a similar environment.

Willingness and ability to undertake a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification. Completion of Fire awareness and Extinguisher training/wardens Emergency Management Procedures course. Required Attributes Self motivated ( take initiative to generate and act on new ideas that add value to the centre.

Look at different ways to solve problems, and address difficulties.) Communication (communicate clearly and professionally in written and oral forms to both internal and external customers. Team player (Treat colleagues and customers in a manner which demonstrates integrity, honesty and fairness.

Community focus( exhibit understanding of our business and the impact of behaviour and the centres reputation in the Community. Planning and organisation ( set goals and strive to achieve them with enthusiasm and determination. Annual salary ($57,000-$59,000 depending on qualifications and experience).
