Richmond ICU Our 26 bed ICU is renowned for its clinical excellence, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere along with patient care that is second to none. Supporting 32 theatres and an Emergency Department, we care for post-operative patients including cardiothoracic, neurological, orthopaedic and general surgery patients, along with complex surgical and medical cases including sepsis and respiratory failure. Our team encompasses a wide range of nursing roles and development opportunities including ICU Liaison, Associate Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialist roles.
We offer local in-services, an in-house clinical education team, as well as provide support to staff to attend external education opportunities. The Role In this fixed term 12 month role with ongoing possibilities, you will be part of our leadership team responsible for the day to day running of the ICU, including staff rostering, staff wellbeing, patient flow coordination and ensuring staff and patient safety, and will provide clinical mentorship to our nurses to ensure excellent care is provided to our patients. You will impact patient excellence by: Maintaining patient flow Ensuring staff and patient safety Overseeing a Nurse cohort to ensure excellent care is provide to our patients Skills & Experience To be successful in this role you will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Critical Care - ICU Current nursing registration with AHPRA Experience in ventilation, including non-invasive ventilation Experience in renal replacement therapies (CVVHD) and plasmapheresis Experience in Intra-aortic balloon pump counterpulsation Experience in vasive & non-invasive monitoring What we offer you Access to salary packaging of up to $9,010 p.
