HR driver



The primary responsibility of a professional driver is community safety. The Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) requires that drivers must not drive a fatigue regulated vehicle on a road while impaired by fatigue. Royal Transport provides transport services delivering Reo bars and welded Mesh.

The Truck driver will mainly responsible for safely driving a Royal Transport Heavy Vehicle/truck to transport goods and materials to and from the ReoBar factory in Prestons and delivering the goods and materials to the greater Sydney metropolitan area. The truck driver will also be required to pick up materials from suppliers as required. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities • Conducting all activities in accordance with the company Quality Management System (QMS) ISO9001.

2015 • Drive the truck safely and comply with all road rules/regulations, NHVR and NHVL • Check that the vehicle (truck), vehicle loading crane (VLC) are serviced and road worthy • Carry out pre start checks on the vehicle and vehicle loading crane and record results on documentation (check lists) provided. • Comply with Workplace Health and Safety regulations, Royal Transport and Customer Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements. • Carry out pre- delivery checks to ensure load is appropriately placed on the vehicle, fully secured and properly restrained.

• Obtain delivery documentation and check manifest/delivery docket details • Safely, correctly and in a timely manner deliver goods and services as detailed in delivery documentation/schedule. • Schedule tasks to allow appropriate breaks. • Carry out risk assessment and obtain approval from Supervisor if more than 12 hours within a day will be required to complete the delivery.

• Carry out Hazard identification to avoid accidents and miscellaneous damages to Customer and Royal Transport properties. Formally report all hazards, accidents, incidents and near misses. • Provide appropriate, clear and accurate feedback to the Supervisor on a regular basis • Project a pleasant and helpful attitude to customers at all times.

Notify the supervisor immediately of any complaints, or if you experience any difficulties with dissatisfied or disruptive customers. • Avoid disclosure of Private and Confidential matters and intellectual property of Royal Transport and customers • Implement ways to efficiently/economically use resources and consumables Skills and Qualifications • National OHS Construction Induction Training – White Card Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence (HR, HC) • RIIHAN307A Statement of Attainment - Vehicle Loading Crane •TLILIC0012 Vehicle Loading 10m Above Other Skills/Abilities • Site Induction – General • Site Induction –Loading and Transport Safety • Site Induction –Emergency Management.
