Product Owner

We provide the technical data and information required to design, construct and maintain your structures and infrastructure in a safe, reliable and efficient manner We are currently seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our established Australian Operation. The main objective of the Product Owner (PO) is to understand client needs, establish a business case, translate these needs into product vision & requirements and successfully deliver innovation to the market.

The PO defines the product direction, creates the user stories, prioritises the backlog and provides feedback to the development team. He/she bases these decisions on client needs, expected returns, competitors and market evaluation. The PO acts as key interface with a specific Innovation team.

He/she defines the innovation budget for a given product that will be invested, and he/she monitors overall progress. Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Regional Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Understanding client needs and market opportunities Works with Innovation Business Partner to define if capabilities will be built internal, purchased and/or developed via partnerships Is the key and frequent interface to the Innovation delivery team during the life cycle of a given product Software: Defines user stories and prioritises user stories Hardware: Sets requirements and functional specifications Designs product business case and the client value proposition Defines product vision & requirements Works with Regional Digital Transformation Managers to roll-out product in the region Communicates actively with internal stakeholders in the Regions (clients) and manages expectations on deliverables and timeline Tracks commercial uptake and drives realisation of business case Prepares Business case, and investment validation with delivery milestones and budget Delivers innovation project on specification, time and within budget as defined by business case (together with development team lead) Verifies during development and implementation phase the differentiation and value proposition of the innovation in the market and with clients Maintains relationships with technology users with our key clients Identifies trial / pilot opportunities for our developments with Regional Business Line Directors Your success in securing this role will require: Degree qualified with 3-8 years’ relevant experience Cross Cultural Awareness, ability to effectively communicate Financial acumen Ability to influence and inspire diverse groups of people sitting across various geographic locations to work as team Ability to take business strategy or vision and translate it into realistic, timely and cost-effective action plan Ability to work well alongside peers, colleagues and partner.
