Farmers Arms Hotel is seeking an experienced full-time, permanent Chef with a positive attitude to join our professional team. You will be able to assist the Head Chef in the smooth and efficient running of our kitchen operation. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Chef with Diploma or Advanced Diploma or at least 5 years experience, have great organisational skills, are well up with modern food trends and can deliver a quality product.
We are looking for a Chef who can demonstrate a strong background in modern cooking, with immaculate grooming and presentation and can undertake the following duties: Able to plan and organise the preparation and cooking of all menu items Understand food and labour costs to meet budgetary requirements Ensure portion control Ensure that all OH&S standards are implemented and adhered to Provide input on menu items and recipe development Maintain high & consistent food standards Ensure a high standard and quality of all dishes with excellent presentation skills Strong leadership skills and ability to work well with others Can work efficiently within our kitchen team, by organising schedules, communicating & provide training whenever necessary Undertake stock control and manager ordering process Consult with senior chef and management on staffing levels and recruitment Equal opportunity employer, award wages, salary negotiable.
