We are seeking an enthusiastic Systems Engineer; this is a full time contract role, which will initially go for 6 months, but it has the option to extend. This role is within the rail industry and is based in Melbourne's CBD: The successful candidate will be working within a team environment. Role Duties: Being able to develop a Project Scope and Technical Requirements for a new project.
Review concept designs and prepare Final Impact Statements for the allocated projects as required. Arrange and chair meetings with the company's business leads to develop and gain approval of Final Impact statements. Conduct requirement traceability and prepare trace reports - identifying the gaps between Final Operational Requirements, Project Scope and Technical Requirements and other relevant project documentation.
Follow the Systems Engineering Management Plan. Review and comment on the business and Contractor design artefacts relating to Systems Engineering, including but not limited to Systems Engineering Management Plans, Test and Commissioning Plans and Procedures, Test results, Requirements traceability matrixes, etc. A minimum of 3 years' Systems Engineering experience in the rail industry, with working understanding of Signalling and Train Control principles.
Experience in Stakeholder Management at a senior level. Experience in requirements management. Experience in developing functional or operational requirements.
Attention to detail, with the ability to perform peer-review of documents. Ability to generate detailed reports, by gathering input from various stakeholders and combining it into a cohesive well-presented document.
