Personal Care Worker - Nursing Support Unit
Personal Care Worker Nursing Support Unit Permanent - Part Time (54 hrs per fortnight) An exciting opportunity exists for qualified Personal Care Workerâ€™s to join the Nursing Support Unit (NSU). NSU staff are required to work in acute (patient watch), sub-acute and residential aged care settings to fill shortfalls related to maternity leave, long service leave, study leave, work cover, sick leave and unplanned high activity demands. NSU staff are required to work a variety of shift times (AM, PM and Night).
Each shift will be a minimum of 6 hours but you will need to work 8 hours shifts when required. To join NSU you must be a team player, who is empathetic and believes in a holistic approach. You must have excellent communication and time management skills.
The position calls for applicants with a high degree of availability and flexibility. To be successful for interview, applicants must have completed: Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant equivalent), including the unit HLTHPS006 Assist clients With Medication and must hold a Safe Food Handlers Certificate issued within the past 12 months.
