ABOUT US Seer is developing technology to revolutionise the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions, with a special focus on epilepsy. Our mission is to deliver deep personalised clinical insights and advance patient experience with leading-edge technology. Our technology consists of wearable devices, a cloud platform and machine learning systems.
These systems are at the core of our at-home video EEG monitoring and diagnostic service - the first of its kind. Seer has already made a big impact across the east coast of Australia over the last 2 years and is now building for international expansion. ABOUT OUR PRODUCT Our cloud platform will power the impending wave of wearable and implantable devices about to enter the healthcare market.
Using the data from these devices, it will provide personalised insights, predictions and alerts to patients in real-time. Currently this platform supports our at-home EEG-ECG diagnostic services, which is soon to expand overseas, and it will also soon support the clinical trials of devices from our partner companies. ABOUT THE ROLE Our platform team is growing and we're looking to hire a Site Reliability Engineer to help us focus on our cloud infrastructure.
This is an important transition for us as we get to a certain size and also begin to work towards regulatory and compliance targets. This is an embedded role where you'll enable and empower the team to deliver a high-quality product. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working closely with the rest of the team, collaborating and iterating on ideas and learning together.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring our platform and its underlying infrastructure can scale with our business Fostering a security focussed mentality within the team Developing and maintaining comprehensive monitoring and logging for our cloud systems Managing our production database including requirements such as backup recovery, zero downtime migrations, and possibly partitioning of data across regions Playing a key role in architectural discussions Taking a leading role in the development of disaster recovery plans and security policies Adjusting and/or re-designing our systems to meet compliance and/or security requirements In collaboration with the rest of the team, ensuring that we are building the best product we can Being an active member of the team's development and learning ABOUT YOU We are looking for people with the following attributes: Experienced in using and configuring cloud services (e.g. AWS and CloudFormation) Comfortable assessing and improving the security of cloud-based applications Familiar with automated deployments and containerisation (e.
g. ECS or Kubernetes) Experienced in developing operational procedures (e.g.
