You are passionate about providing dental support services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients. About the Role You will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.
To be successful in this role, you will have: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) chair-side dental assisting experience with at least 2 years full-time equivalent within the last 5 years Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
Current First Aid (HLTAID003) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) certification. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation and externally with other health care professionals Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality care to patients within a dental surgery. This is a position of trust and responsibility and to support this we will conduct a thorough probity assessment, which includes a national police check as an essential selection component for this role.
Please note that you must be an Australian Citizen in order to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
