Reporting directly to the Head of Cyber & Risk, as a Privacy Officer, you play a vital role in promoting strong privacy governance and capability at Super Retail Group. As part of our Risk team you are expected to support the overall risk management uplift agenda, and will be involved in other risk management activities, including involvement in delivering the risk roadmap. About the Role: Be the SME on the privacy regulation landscape for the jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand Have a broad understanding of the GDPR legislation You will review, challenge and advise the business on the implementation of privacy policies Support the risk management plan, including involvement in risk activities such as the Group Risk Register, Divisional Risk Registers and training of Risk Champions. Provide proactive advice, support and insight to enhance privacy awareness and decision making Lead, manage, coach and develop your key stakeholderâ€™s understanding of Super Retail Groupâ€™s privacy obligations Liaising with the OAIC Co-ordinating the handling of internal and external privacy enquiries, privacy complaints, and requests for access to, and correction of, personal information Maintaining a record of Super Retail Groupâ€™s personal information holdings Assisting with the preparation of Privacy Impact Assessments Measuring and documenting Super Retail Groupâ€™s performance against its privacy roadmap About You: To be successful in this role you will possess: Highly developed interpersonal skills Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant discipline e.
g. Law, Business, Finance Industry experience in a similar role within a commercial or consulting environment Extensive working knowledge of national and international privacy laws and regulations and their applicability to the jurisdictions in which the business operates Experience in training and influencing others The ability to write policy A growth mindset - our business is changing so we need you to be agile.
