Contracts Administrator - Tier 1 - Projects up to $5m

A successful tier 1 Central Coast building company with a strong reputation for providing professional service and quality work, our client is now seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their growing business. The company holds values and ethics within the industry very highly and has a belief system involving cooperative synergy through the full 360 project life cycle. The company specialises in new build projects covering health, education, aged care, commercial and government sectors.

The current project load consists of new build and refurb / extensions from smaller up to $5m as a head contractor. As Contracts Administrator, you will be working closely with the Project Manager, running multiple projects concurrently. You will be responsible for supporting the project teams in the management and administration of contracts throughout the project life cycle, and ensuring the high quality and profitability of the projects are maintained, while financial and contractual risks are minimised.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Prepare and check subcontract packages Negotiate and review subcontract tenders Produce and maintain a procurement schedule that matches the program Preparation of accurate payment schedules Process progress / delay claims and external variations according to contractual obligations and timelines Set up and maintain job files, drawing and contract registers, sample boards and shop drawing registers Management and tracking of project expenditure against budget Manage and coordinate contract administrators in a team Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar Minimum 3 years experience within the construction industry - a tier 1, 2 or 3 background would be ideal - graduates are also encouraged to apply. Construction Safety Induction (White) card Experience with Jobpac or Buildsoft or similar Strong financial analysis and administrative focus Good negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ideally have CHEOPS experience This is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
