Head of Womenswear

As we continue to grow and expand within Australia and New Zealand, weâ€™re on the hunt for a likeminded individual to fill the newly created Head of Womenswear position.
This is a senior role with a high level of exposure and influence both internally to the General Pants Co. business and externally within the youth fashion industry. As the Head of Womenswear you will be responsible for carving out General Pantsâ€™ position within the Womenswear categories within our space, and with an intrinsic understanding of the core customer and a strong commercial sense, enhance not only the customer experience but drive market share growth in this extremely competitive and exciting space.
This role plays an integral part in both leading and supporting the wider business strategic initiatives that champion continued growth of the brand and underpin General Pants as a cultural influencer and destination. As the leader for both the Buying and Design teams, this role is pivotal in influencing, guiding and curating the shape of Womenswear and, with a strong partnership with the Menswear teams, ensures a cohesive brand experience for our core consumer across all of our channels. Key Responsibilities: Develop a customer centric merchandise and brand strategy that sets us apart from the competition whilst continually delivers on the brands core proposition Lead the team to develop and roll out an integrated Womenswear offering across both branded and vertical ranges Lead the team to source and develop new and exciting brands, incubate ranges, create brand experiences and leverage great relationships with both our branded and vertical suppliers Partner with the Menswear Teams to deliver a cohesive offering under the General Pants brand In line with overall business strategic initiatives, develop and execute the Womenswear product strategy and brand direction Lead and develop a vibrant and creative team to optimise results and achieve sales/profit and trading margin targets Source and develop ranges, leading the team to identify both global and local market trends that are relevant and interpreting them for the GP customer Challenge the status quo with innovative thinking supported and backed by data In conjunction with the marketing team, develop effective and relevant communications to the consumer Through your leadership, develop and foster strong and mutually beneficial long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the Womenswear team Be agile, continually evolving the offering and uncover new brands/trends to drive customer acquisition What weâ€™re looking for: Ten years Buying and Design experience, with a minimum of three years at a leadership level An exceptional understanding of the Australian Womenswear market An intimate understanding of the customer segmentation within the Australian....
