The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) and Children's Court of Victoria (CHCV) play a prominent role in ensuring the community has access to a responsive and fair justice system. The Courts operate at 52 metropolitan and regional locations and support the operations of other state and federal jurisdictions.
Trainee Court Registrars are pivotal in the Court, progressing through a structured learning path to learn to provide a wide range of legal, administrative and quasi-judicial tasks relating to the day-to-day operations of the Courts. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues to respond to the needs of a variety of internal and external stakeholders, ensure that all court processes run smoothly and meet all legislative and procedural requirements. Given the complex nature of the courts, we are looking for people who are resilient and optimistic, and have a passionate commitment to justice and equality.
You could come from a range of different sectors that involve varied administration tasks, and pride yourself on your excellent interpersonal skills and strong work ethic.
