Director of Emergency Medicine, Armidale Hospital We are seeking a new leader for our service. You will be a natural clinical leader, educator and skilled communicator, engaged in building capacity of our service by developing effective relationships and valuing the contribution of all the team. You will be motivated, have energy and personal drive, and be open to exploring new models of care and innovative practice.

What this position offers you: The opportunity to lead our Emergency Medicine service, be involved in direct hands-on critical care as well as clinical leadership, service improvement and education. As the only FACEM in the department, you will be well supported by an experienced team of Senior Career Medical Officers, and developing Senior Residents. We are not accredited for ACEM training purposes but you will be joining a close-knit team that encourages collaboration and collegiate relationships.

The $60 million Armidale Hospital redevelopment is now complete and fully operational, delivering a brand new emergency department, inpatient ward, four operating theatres and a critical care unit. Opportunity for conjoint appointment with the Joint Medical Program, University of New England, Armidale. Armidale has excellent schools, affordable housing and recreational opportunities.
