Environmental Health and Building Regulation Officer What We Are Offering: Salary $69,922 to $79,709 pa. Super Guarantee Charge of 9.5% Learning & Development Opportunities Full leaseback vehicle Full-Time role 35-hour week / 19 day month Local Government NSW Award 2017 The Opportunity This position undertakes reactive and proactive environmental health and building relations functions on behalf of Council to ensure that our natural and built environment is valued and protected through the upholding, and enforcement, of relevant legislation.
You will be responsible for: Tertiary qualifications (at a minimum of Associate Diploma level) in Building Surveying, or Environmental Health &Building or an equivalent discipline. Extensive experience in building surveying in accordance with the National Construction Code (Building Code of Australia), & relevant Regulations & Acts. Experience in development assessment in accordance with the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979.
Ability to apply the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 and Swimming Pools Act 1992 & all associated Regulations Effective written & verbal communication skills Computer literacy - Microsoft Office. Accreditation Building Professionals Board A2. Ability to apply customer service techniques.
