About the Role Based in Orange, the Team Leader you will be responsible for leading a team of Disability Support Workers in order to ensure that the individual needs of our clients are met, whilst maintaining an efficient and safe working environment for clients and staff. This role will start in early January and will oversee the Lifestyle Facility and lead a team of Disability Support Workers in order to support our clients. You will need to be a creative thinker in order to create community programs and activities for our clients.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the daily operations of support services Lead team members in the development of Person Centred Plans Maintain links with the local community Maintain positive relationships with clients, families, guardians and other stakeholders. Identify and develop community resources that can be used by children, young people and adults with a disability for whom you are responsible. Undertake rostering of Disability Support Workers With direction from the Operations Manager undertake administrative responsibility for the service including the development, maintenance and ongoing review of client focused rosters which correspond with approved funding levels.

Comply with all Life Without Barriers policy, code of conduct, procedures and practices, external funding body requirements and legislation. Skills & Experience Certificate IV in Disability or similar or equivalent relevant experience Previous experience working within disability services Demonstrated experience supporting clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, families and/or groups from a strength-based culturally appropriate perspective Demonstrated leadership experience and attributes High level communication, influencing, liaison and negotiation skills..
