My client requires a highly experienced payroll/finance professional with in-depth SAP experience to join their team on a contract basis. Client Details Located in the eastern suburbs, my client is a well-known, ASX listed organisation that has a workforce of approximately 1,000-2,000 staff around the world. Description The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the following: Conducting an audit of existing payroll data including: leave balances/accruals, superannuation, reporting.
Configuration of SAP to reflect recent EBA and payroll cycle changes. Testing of new configuration changes including running parallel pays. Rolling out new software patches in preparation for STP implementation.
Working closely with the finance team to build reports for management. Communicating with a range of stakeholders, contributing to the existing team culture. Profile The ideal candidate will have a very strong track record in similar payroll project and analyst positions.
As well as: Good understanding of basic accounting principles and processes (Journals, GL recs, etc) at least five years' previous payroll processing or management experience. In-depth understanding of SAP including back end configuration and testing. Good working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and obligations.
Tertiary qualifications such as Accounting degree, CA/CPA are not required but would be an advantage. The ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels including senior management. Mining industry experience would be highly regarded.
Job Offer On offer is a minimum of a six month contract with a definite possibility of extension. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a real difference to the payroll processes of a Tier 1 Australian employer and for the right candidate, permanency would be an option. Salary will be in line with experience.
