Position Information Birrong Girls High School is a comprehensive multicultural high school with an enrolment of 780 students, including 94% of students who are from a non-English speaking background. The school promotes personal excellence and success for girls in an inclusive, stimulating and safe environment and is committed to quality teaching, high academic achievement and a broad curriculum. Selection Criteria Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach mathematics Years 7-12 and demonstrated experience or willingness to teach mathematics advanced and extension. Demonstrated ability to provide strong educational leadership to create a cohesive faculty culture with the ability to lead the development of high quality teaching and learning programs. Ability to lead innovative educational practices to improve outcomes for girls from non-English speaking backgrounds and low socio-economic communities.
Demonstrated ability to be a dynamic member of the executive leadership team and to lead initiatives in accordance with the strategic directions of the school and the Department of Education that support students, staff and parents.
