Reconnect Case Manager
Centre for Adult Education and Foundation StudiesFull Time Fixed Term position – (December 31, 2020)PAACT 5 - $65,333 - $70,284 per annum exclusive superannuation (Vehicle provided)About the role: Skills First Reconnect is a support service for early school leavers, that provides one to one support to address vocational and non-vocational needs with the goal of enrolling in and sustaining an accredited study or employment pathway. Box Hill Institute (BHI) is a leading provider of the Reconnect program in Melbourne, Eastern and Outer Eastern Melbourne and the need to employ a suitable support professional has arisen. Your skills and experience: Success in the Reconnect Case Manager position will require: • Acting as the primary support person for early school leavers registered with BHI Skills First Reconnect including providing counselling, information, advice and referral to support education, training and employment pathways.
• Working with Reconnect students that are part of case management load to develop, review and update individual Student Learning and Achievement Plans, that address client needs and support their vocational aspirations. • Providing outreach and advocacy support to help Reconnect students stay engaged in and complete their education & training programs and employment placements through assertive outreach and advocacy. • Working with Reconnect students around transition planning from service support to ensure independence and sustain success.
We are seeking a person with qualifications in Youth Work, Welfare, Counselling, or equivalent, with experience of working with people who have complex needs, particularly in supporting them to re-engage in education, training and employment pathways. Experience in working across multiple locations with high levels of independence and an ability to deliver quality outcomes will be highly regarded.
