Temporary part time - 42 hours per fortnight (maternity leave relief) An excellent opportunity exists in Geelong for an experienced and qualified Medical Specialist to work as part of our Palliative Care team Enjoy a role where you will be an active part of a health care team shows leadership and embraces change About the facility Barwon Health Palliative Care provides palliative care nursing, medical, allied health and volunteer services within a framework of integrated health service involving close collaboration between community, inpatient as well as an acute consultative service. The model of palliative care is based on level of need and targets patients with complex care needs. The Community Palliative Care team is based at the McKellar Centre.
About the role An exciting opportunity exists for a palliative medicine specialist to join the palliative care team at Barwon Health in a maternity leave relief role from mid-January 2019. The successful applicant will be part of an integrated service providing palliative care to the Geelong region as well as surrounding districts. Embracing multi-disciplinary care the Barwon Health palliative care department encompasses a busy community palliative care service, a designated palliative care unit, a hospital-based consultancy team as well as a supportive role to sub-regional areas.
