About the role: The role sits within Optus Digital Business Solutions Team and reports to Manager E & WX Architect. This role is a key position between sales and Professional Services delivery teams.
As a Digital Architect you will be involved in identifying Unified Communication and Collaboration opportunities, developing an understanding of the client needs, formulating a winning design and creating a strong desire for an Optus solution by being aware of Optus’ strengths and competitors weaknesses in a dynamic market. In collaboration with other Domain Architects (including Enterprise Architects and Consulting Architects) you will help develop solutions composed of multiple technologies to address clients and prospects business needs in a converged ICT services market. You will also bring significant pre-sales experience with the Cisco products and solutions working either with a service provider or large systems integrator.
Responsibilities: Ability to take personal ownership and control, driving to achieve success. Expert knowledge and experience of the market and industry which will be used for assistance in sales. Seek and develop opportunities through successful relationships within Optus Account Teams, Optus Clients, Partner Vendors and other market relationships.
Thought leadership and mentoring to colleagues within the wider Optus team. Implementing continuous improvement, from and within our existing capability and to establish new relevant capabilities. Progression and maintenance of vendor relationships (measurable by sales leads and vendor participation/cooperation in sales activities).
Experience required: Technical: Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM, CUX, IM&P, Jabber etc) Cisco Unified Communications Ancillary Applications (Jabber, Attendant Console, etc) Cisco Cloud Services (WebEx Teams / Meetings / Calling) Cisco Voice Gateways (CUBE, SRST, DSP, etc.) Cisco Telepresence Video and/or Polycom Video Other mandatory experience required Significant experience in consultative and creative solution selling with demonstrated few years’ experience in Pre-sales specially on the Cisco products (MANDATORY) experience in developing solutions that meet a customer’s requirement. Ability to recognise, analyse the customer’s business needs and translate them into a suitable solution.
