Federal Government client is seeking a Scheduler to ensure that schedules are in place, appropriately tracked and reported on to assist with decision making. To be considered, you must have experience working on similarly large, complex ICT programs of work and have relevant experience as a Scheduler. Specifically: Creating standards, processes and guides supporting best practice.
Collaboration with Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts. Ensuring that schedules are planned, baselined and weekly progress is being tracked. Ensuring critical path and interdependency activities are identified and tracked.
Risks, issues and opportunities are identified and are tracked within schedules. Ensuring that program reports are generated in a timely manner according to the reporting cycle, along with ad-hoc requests as required. Essential Skills & Experience Sound knowledge and ability with Microsoft Project Professional.
Knowledge of and working ability with Microsoft Project Online. Comprehensive knowledge and ability of schedule planning and analysis techniques (e.g.
critical path / chain analysis). Ability to develop and maintain trusting working relationships with the Leadership Team, Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts. Advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite, including Visio.
Competent in the development, implementation and enforcement of schedule and dependency related policies and procedures. Experience with document management and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Jabber. Exposure to Software Lifecycle (design, development, testing).
Project Management training or certification (PMBOK, PRINCE2 similar). Exposure to DCMA 14-point standard. Please note you MUST be an Australian Citizen in order to obtain a baseline security clearance.
This will be a long term contract with the initial period until 30 June 2019, with the option to extend for an additional 24 months..
