The Opportunity As a Research & Development Manager at Medibank, you will have the overall responsibility of managing research and development projects for Medibank at Home. You will contribute to the design and evaluation of Medibank at Home services and you will be accountable for ensuring services optimise the health and healthcare experience of Medibank members.

Key responsibilities will include: Connecting insights and trends in the health and utilisation profiles of our members to specific Medibank at Home service opportunities; Networking to establish new partnerships with national and international experts in hospital at home service delivery and research; Leading review projects that identify and appraise at home service models utilised internationally; Contributing to the design of clinical service models and systems to ensure they are evidence based, leveraged off real world service learnings and optimised to deliver effective and efficient outcomes; Delivering insights into the commercial impacts of proposed healthcare programs; Evaluating health programs in order to identify opportunities to enhance or optimise the care model, inform business decision making and improve participant’s health outcomes. About you In order to be successful in this role, you will present with post graduate qualifications in a health-related discipline and have strong quantitative and analytical skills in epidemiology, evaluation design methods and use of coded health administrative data. You will possess a professional track record in leading large-scale complex health service evaluations.

An ability to interpret and translate medical and public health literature, and to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling information to stakeholders is required, as is the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with senior academics, clinicians and executive level stakeholders.
