The Woolworths Group Finance team is positioned to support change and continuous improvement across the business whilst continually focussing on providing excellent customer experiences to key stakeholders. About the role We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Inventory & GP Team initially on a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Team Leader - GP, your primary responsibility will be to perform, review and investigate divisional trading results and selected balance sheet accounts.

This role is based at our Financial Control Centre, located in Gepps Cross, Adelaide. In this role, you will Review and investigate weekly and monthly divisional trading results in accordance with SLA Review, investigate and perform monthly reconciliations on selected balance sheet accounts Provide timely and insightful reporting of the balance sheet to relevant finance teams Ensure periodic EBIT results are prepared in a timely manner Drive initiatives and strategies for continual improvement of processes Perform ad hoc tasks as directed by manager/team leader About you Relevant financial/accounting degree and professional qualifications such as CA/CPA or working towards 3-5 years experience working in general accounting , experience in retail and large corporate would be advantageous Strong communication skills, stakeholder management and relationship building skills Team oriented approach with disposition to assist in achieving team goals Experience in supporting various financial systems (incl.
