Clinical Nurse/Midwife Educator: High Dependency Unit
ABOUT THE ROLE: Mercy Hospitals Victoria Learning Team is seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with Critical Care or HDU experience to join the Learning team. This role will be to support the education of staff that provide care for high acuity gynaecology/ oncology and obstetric patients admitted into the HDU. The clinical nurse/midwife educators work collaboratively with the Learning Manager and Program Leads to implement clinical education and training programs for the High Dependency unit at Mercy Hospital for Women.
•Permanent Part time 0.2 eft 16hrs per fortnight •Grade 4B position •Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg •Identify and prioritise the professional development needs of nursing and midwifery staff •Develop, implement and evaluate learning activities across the organisation •Work in collaboration with the Learning Manager and Program Education Leads ABOUT YOU: •Current registration as a Registered Nurse and or Midwife with AHPRA •Critical Care / High Dependency Experience •Experience in Women’s health •Post registration qualification in education or are working towards •Certificate IV in Assessment and Training desirable ABOUT US: Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women’s health and associated health, support and diagnostic services.
