They will be vulnerable young people whose lives have been impacted by trauma. There will be tough moments and you will be challenged but, you will know in your heart that you are making a positive difference to a young person's life.
This is a diverse role however, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Assisting the young people in our care, with their physical and emotional well-being - focusing on mindfulness and therapeutic techniques in conjunction with the Case Manager; Administering program records and maintaining strict documentation in accordance with legal requirements and service policy. The core hours of work can include evening and weekend work. You will also be required to attend staff meetings and compulsory training provided by the organisation.
About you You are easily approachable and extremely compassionate. A caring soul who is a positive role model for young people, capable of effortlessly building relationships that facilitate growth and development. To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of: A Certificate IV in a relevant child welfare or child wellbeing course; Demonstrated experience and knowledge working in residential care; and/or working with young people in a child protection or community service context; Solid experience working with young people who have significant emotional and psychological support needs; A current open driver's licence.
