South Coast District Hospital - Clinical Pharmacist Flexible part-time role ranging from 15 hours up to 25 hours/week About the role We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic pharmacist to provide clinical services to South Coast District Hospital located in Victor Harbour. This part time role will require you to work up to 25 hours per week. Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager (based at Alexander Avenue, Ashford), this position focuses on improving patient outcomes and promotes best practice through quality use of medicine by providing exceptional clinical services.
This role would suit someone who lives within close proximity to the hospital or someone who would enjoy doing day trips to Victor Harbour Monday to Tuesday, with flexible additional hours across the remainder of the week. Key responsibilities · Provide clinical services such as medication chart reviews, clinical audits. · Involvement in medication management matters including the management of imprest · Clinical liaison with the relevant hospital wards and doctors.
· Assist with business and process improvements. · Involvement with health professional and patient education programs and hospital medication governance committees · Sound understanding and interest in medication safety You must have · A can-do attitude and team focus · Excellent communication skills · The ability to organise complex tasks and solve problems · The ability to meet administration and reporting time-frames · Analytical thinking to make sound judgements and develop appropriate innovative solutions · Current registration with AHPRA with no conditions · Membership with a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider · Proven clinical pharmacy/hospital experience is desirable. · Current Australian driver's license Offering multiple employee benefits and a values-based culture and environment, you can succeed and grow your career within our growing and innovative organisation.
