Positive Behaviour for Learning Coordinator - North Coast Region (Multiple locations)
5 Temporary Full-time or Part-time Positive Behaviour for Learning Coordinator positions available within North Coast Region across multiple locations. About the role: You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and undertaking the following key tasks: Provide advice to the Regional PBL Coach and Assistant Regional Directors in their supervision of regional schools, to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision, particularly the aspects related to school environment, student support and the development of appropriate student behaviour, which in turn contribute to quality learning outcomes for all students. Play a support role in delivering the vision of the department to improve the educational outcomes of students in State Schools by facilitating and supporting the training, planning and effective implementation of PBL at the school level.
Lead and support a network of school teams, and in particular, a network of PBL school coaches in operationalising the development, implementation and evaluation of the PBL initiative at the school level. Work with school teams to collect and analyse using the Schoolwide Evaluation Tool (SET), Effective Behaviour Support (EBS), and Benchmarks of Quality (BoQ) and develop data driven school based action plans, as per the NCR PBL data collection and submission schedule. Train school personnel and support school teams in Practical Functional Behaviour Assessment (P-FBA).
Provide policy advice and guidance to schools and regional staff, particularly in relation to PBL initiatives to support improved student behaviour. Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling, particularly in relation to student behaviour and student support. Effectively manage human, financial and physical resources to deliver high quality organisational outcomes.
