Reporting to the General Manager of GSPE, you’ll bring to market our next generation of security products that will change the landscape of secure internet across all networks, both here in Australia and on a global scale. About the role As this position is new to Telstra you’ll be charting new territory, literally creating and implementing the map as you go.

You’ll lead the development of complex end-to-end architectural solutions for initiatives across multiple domains & define the solution architecture and its impacts. You will drive architectural design of security products to ensure a modular approach to enable re-commoditisation of security products and lead the maintenance of solution architecture Best Practice within Security Product Engineering The team The Security Product Engineering (SPE) team’s mission is to provide all Telstra customers a safe technology experience by. As Lead Security Architect you will help shape the way the SPE team provides Telstra with leadership in technology, lifecycle management, product capability road mapping, capacity management and commoditisation of all Telstra security products and services.

Key Accountabilities: Drive the development and maintenance of the Solution Architecture best practice and capability across Security Product Engineering Provide mentoring, leadership and guidance to the Solution Architecture team across Security Product Engineering Achieve the on-time delivery of complex stakeholder endorsed architectural solutions within prescribed parameters and agreed budget. Ensure architectural solutions are fit-for-purpose and are re-usable, scalable, reliable, manageable and operatable. Translate business (internal, external or regulatory) requirements (functional and non-functional) to develop complex architectural solutions in a timely, cost effective and high quality manner.

Define the solution architecture, and document its impacts appropriately, Complete Solution Impact Description (SID) and/or Solution Architecture Definition (SAD) documents with inputs from key business and project stakeholders. Provide technology solutions that integrate with other technologies including Telstra’s process and systems to meet operation and SLA requirements Define interfaces between network components and systems for the initiative. Provide detailed technical assistance with and/or review complex detailed architectures and designs from component or system providers to ensure completeness and alignment with the Solution Architecture Design What you will bring: Deep understanding of information security principles and practices Experience developing product roadmaps (Inc.
