Teacher - Kanimbla
Come and join our warm and friendly team at Goodstart Kanimbla About the Role Based in the Pre-Kinder Room (3-4 year olds), this permanent position would be ideal for either an experienced or entry level Teacher who wishes to kickstart their Teaching career and be mentored by another Teacher within the Goodstart Centre. You will work closely with your Assistant, ensuring you plan innovative and engaging child initiated curriculums, incorporating both indoor and outdoor environments, sustainability, and local excursions. You will be required to work a rotating roster to accommodate the opening and closing times of the centre and will also have 4 hours programming time off the floor each week.
We are a lovely two-building centre located in a lush residential area, close to schools, shops, the main road and transport routes as well as parks and community facilities. We are also involved in the local community and supports local charities. Of particular pride is the litter of guide dog puppies that the centre sponsors.
We receive photos of the puppies and letters informing of their progress. Our centre - Goodstart Kanimbla 150 place double centre Well-resourced with inclusive and natural learning environments Welcoming and fun environment Great leadership support Opening hours - 6:30am to 6:30pm Required to work a rotating roster to accommodate the above times Your role/requirements Full-time, permanent position - 38 hours/week Pre-Kinder room (3-4 year olds) Currently hold or working towards a Bachelor of Education/Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification deeming you as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) 3 hours programming / week Hold a current Blue Card or alternatively an Exemption Card with QLD Teachers Registration Hold a current First Aid qualification Join Goodstart Kaniimbla and become immersed in early education that is meaningful and stimulating.
