Head of Unit (Emergency Dept)

We are looking for a Head of Emergency Medicine Fulltime or part time We are looking for a clinical leader with: Fellowship or a Diploma in emergency medicine, ACRRM Generalist Emergency Medicine or equivalent capability with extensive experience in emergency medicine and a preparedness to undertake such a qualification. Eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a subregional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire.

We serve an immediate population of approximately 42,000 in Central Gippsland, and reach a wider community in East Gippsland and parts of South Gippsland providing specialist services in obstetric and perinatal services, critical care and surgery. Acute services include a full time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit and operating suite. The emergency department has approximately 16,000 attendances per annum with a complexity mix similar to other sub-regional health services in Victoria.
