Chief Medical Registrar
About the role The role of the Chief Medical Registrar (CMR) is to provide leadership and support to the Junior Medical Staff within the Department of Medicine at Ipswich Hospital. The role may also be required to provide quality medical care to patients in the Medical Division under the supervision and guidance of consultant medical staff. This is a new position that we feel will allow the successful applicant to build an administrative and educational skill-set to complement clinical acumen gained in earlier years of clinical training.
Ipswich General Hospital (IGH) has a thriving, young and dynamic department of medicine and has expanded to the point where a dedicated Chief Medical Registrar (CMR) is required. The unit comprises 6 general medical teams, an acute medicine unit, cardiology, respiratory medicine, endocrinology, nephrology, obstetric medicine, rheumatology, palliative care, medical oncology and geriatrics. About Digital Health Through digital technology, West Moreton Health will be transforming the way we deliver healthcare to the community we serve.
A key component of this will be the introduction of the Integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR) as part of a broader roll-out across hospitals and health services in Queensland.As this project will transform the way health professionals work, a large proportion of the Digital Health team comprises of clinical advisors who know the intricacies of the workflows of each stream of health care, including the Emergency Department, Surgery, Anaesthetics, Radiology and Pathology, Pharmacy, Midwifery and Allied Health.Vaccination Preventable DiseaseThis role is designated as ‘Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role'.
You must be able to provide evidence that you either: have been vaccinated against the VPD's listed in the role description; or you are not susceptible to the VPD's listed in the role description.
