An exciting opportunity exists for a Podiatrist - Senior, to be a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level podiatry clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health (SCHHS) with a primary focus on the high risk foot. Queensland Hospital and Health Service (HHS) Podiatrists provide best practice care for clients with acute and high risk foot disease. Best practice foot disease management reduces hospitalisation, amputation, mortality and overall costs. Queensland HHS Statement of Core Business states that podiatrists employed by HHSs will deliver evidence based, best practice clinical services for the people who receive podiatry care.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver independent high level podiatry clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence. Lead and support the development of high risk foot services within the Gympie region and scope capacity for future services alongside key stakeholders within the allied health services group.
Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care. Provide clinical advice and education to professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery, utilising high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $127 965 p.
