Principal Advisor - Health and Emergency Management
Number of vacancies available: 1 Office Location(s): Footscray but travel required to other West Division sites Position Summary: Reporting to the Director, Emergency Management & Health Protection in the West Division, this position plays a key role in leading activities to ensure alignment of Divisional Emergency Management, Health and Health Protection objectives to departmental priorities and plans, and establishes and maintains communication processes across internal and external stakeholders to ensure broader Emergency Management and Health priorities are achieved. You will provide authoritative advice in relation to Emergency Management, Health and Health Protection matters, and act as a source of advice to a diverse set of stakeholders, including senior managers. As a senior staff member, you will be responsible for complex investigations and stakeholder interactions, sometimes under delegation from, and also in support of, the Director, Emergency Management & Health Protection.
In emergencies this role could be activated as appropriate in DHHS Emergency Management and Health Coordination roles. Are you: An experienced Emergency Management, Health and/or Health Protection operative? Able to work as part of a team to implement policies and programs that contribute to emergency management, health and health protection planning and response? Able to respond to new and emerging issues? Able to communicate so that others are keen to come on the journey with you? Experienced in adapting to change and managing complex environments?
