Experienced Insurance Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Insurance Paralegal to join our busy Melbourne office on a full -time basis. Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Insurance Paralegal to join our busy Melbourne office on a full -time basis. Ideally, you will have prior work experience within insurance litigation, have an excellent academic record, outstanding organisation and research skills and be able to demonstrate a capability to work autonomously, as well as being a team player. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise are essential as are advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Training on our in-house IT systems will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Perform legal research; Draft legal documents and correspondence; Read and interpret case law and prepare case briefs to counsel and experts; Assist with business development activities; Prepare trial notebooks for court; File court documents electronically; Prepare responses to complaints and discovery requests; Organise case files and maintain documents. Position requirements: 4 years experience in a paralegal role within a commercial litigation firm University Law degree Strong understanding of software applications including Word, Excel and practice management systems Key Competencies: Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to meet deadlines and follow procedures Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organisation Action oriented Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Outstanding organisational and time management skills Initiative Why work for us: Leaders of the pack – Client-focussed and excited by growth State of the art CBD offices.
