About Us Matraville Vet Hospital is a well-equipped veterinary hospital boasting a dedicated surgical theatre, treatment areas, dental machine, xray, in house bloods, and an ultrasound to work up and treat our cases. Our friendly staff are highly skilled and passionate and is led by a clinical director with over 20 years’ clinical experience across Australia and the UK.
We encourage growing special interests of our vets and nurses, and choose to retain as many complex medical and surgical procedures. It is a great environment for a confident recent graduate to learn highly valuable skills in a supported environment under the guidance of Dr Karen. Matraville is a relaxed and beautiful coastal area that is just a 15-minute drive to the Sydney's CBD.
About You You are an experienced vet or confident recent grad that can handle most routine surgeries and can work up cases effectively. You thrive off a fast-paced environment and seek challenges to develop your career. Key Responsibilities Practices high standards of veterinary and preventative medicine We are NOT an after-hours facility, and we have a close relationship with specialists at near-by referral facilities Our roster includes 9 hr weekday shifts staggered between the opening hours of 7.
30-8pm. This role would suit a Vet looking to do 2 to 3 days a week and some weekend work. We all participate in shared weekends and public holidays The Ideal candidate Has a minimum of 2 years’ clinical small animal experience and is proficient in routine surgery and medical cases.
Advanced qualifications and skills will be highly regarded.
