Maintenance Fitter required in chemical manufacturer, Immediate start for the right candidate, SW Sydney Your new company Your new company is a leader in the chemical industry and manufactures products which are distributed globally. With the introduction of a new production line there is a requirement for a new Maintenance Fitter to join the team. You will be working on rotating shift between Day and Afternoon, through Monday to Thursday, with additional overtime each day and Fridays during peak periods.
Your new job As a Maintenance Fitter within this Heavy industrial plant, your duties will include: You will responsible for the functionality, troubleshooting, cleaning and maintenance of the production line; checking quality of production in accordance to company specifications. You will be required load raw material into the production line and ensure the smooth running of the production process through to the completion of the manufacturing process in the packaging area. General Mechanical maintenance duties on Heavy industrial equipment What you'll need to succeed You will be able to pull on previous experience working as a Maintenance Fitter.
At minimum you will be a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter. You should have good communication skills and work well in a team. If you hold a NSW forklift licence this will be advantageous.
If you have an understanding of PLC systems, specifically Allen Bradley, this will greatly increase your prospects as there is occasional Electrical work to be done. What you'll get in return You will be rewarded with a permanent position which pays at an equivalent salary of $75,000 - 90,000 super with additional overtime available. An excellent benefit of this job is the shift pattern, you will work 4 Days a week (Monday - Thursday) on 10 hour Day and Afternoon Shift in a 2 week rotation.
