The Landscape Evaluator is a position where you will use your technical (ArcGIS, R, etc) and Ecology background to deliver the Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting program for Port Phillip Region.
You will be coordinating various programs including Overall Fuel Hazard monitoring, Fuel Management reporting and starting up new monitoring programs in line with departmental priorities. This is an office based position, with the ability to work in the field from time to time. The position will work to improve how planned burning is measured along with colleagues from across Victoria.
The position is in a multi-disciplinary team with Fire Behaviour, Ecology and Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting specialists that works to improve long term Forest & Fire planning across the Port Phillip region. The team values continued professional development and is a very collaborative team of technical specialists working between Knoxfield and Heidelberg. Qualification or experience in natural resources management is desirable.
