Systems Engineer - CBD

Location New South Wales


Leading Australian patent firm requires a Systems Engineer for an initial 6 month fixed term role based in Sydney's CBD for an immediate start. In this role, you will engage with the IT Manager daily to help resolve company IT issues ranging both low to critical incidents. On a daily basis you will: Providing Level 2/3 support and monitoring of system performance and utilisation, health, security and capacity.

Help with a office relocation in Sydney CBD before Christmas. Performing Level 2 / 3 troubleshooting and incident resolution. Providing advanced support and troubleshooting to Active Directory Supporting Technologies, Hybrid Exchange, 365 and Citrix.

Ensuring all system and data backups (Backup Exec) are performed successfully across multiple backup environments. To succeed in this role you will have: Troubleshooted Active Directory, Telephony and networking infrastructure. Completed a office relocation in the past.

Rolled out laptops and IP in previous roles. Demonstrated administration experience within 'Supported Systems' in a distributed environment. Experience with Hybrid Exchange, 365 and Hosted VDC.

Ideally a strong background with Server and Windows technology and either Storage (EMC) or VMware. Actively participate in a team environment with the ability to impart knowledge to others. An excellent package is on offer for successful candidate consisting of Base & Super with the potential to go full time after 6 months.
