National Manager, Power and Aerial Solutions
Job Expectations In this key role, you would be leading and managing a team responsible for the delivery of Power and Aerial solutions across the various technologies on the network. These activities aim to protect the integrity of the nbn network through services and solutions that minimise risks to the network and customer impacts. You would be critical in leading, empowering and supporting the team culture to deliver these activities to relevant targets and KPIs at a team and individual level while providing excellent customer service and client focus to internal and external stakeholders.
You will also contribute towards continuous business and process improvements to help deliver better scale, quality and efficiency across the network. Please note, this is a 24 month fixed term opportunity and we are open to Sydney or Melbourne as locations. A bit about your role Some of your key accountabilities would include: Development, documentation and updating of power and aerial rules and compliance standards Ensuring technical content and maintenance of standards to adhere to FAA's, Australian Standards, state legislation and regulatory requirements Selecting, testing, procuring and managing new products, materials and equipment related to the power or aerial components of the network Support the development and operation of the Power Support Centre (PSC), meeting SLA's and deliverable deadlines Leading a team of professional technical engineers and subject matter experts and support staff located throughout the nation Lead, manage and maintain a project governance and lifecycle process that ensures projects and initiatives are delivered meeting all kpi's in a safe and effective manner A bit about you To be successful in this role, you would have tertiary qualifications in Engineering preferably in Electrical or Electronic.
You would also have strong background in managing complex programs with the Construction or Utilities - power industry in a demanding network delivery environment. Strong technical background and authority on power and aerial would be desirable to be able to act as the sign off point and key authority lead. While having understanding on the regulatory environment and industry knowledge that power utilities have would be an advantage in order to help solve operational problems and sound judgement on critical safety issues.
Your strong people leadership would be desirable in inspiring, building trust and developing people and talent. As well as your proven track record of managing senior stakeholders in large organisations.
