Position summary An opportunity for a Project Accountant has become available within our Major Projects business in support of the Sydney Growth Train project. Reporting to the Senior Project Accountant, this position will provide support mainly across month-end reporting, forecasting, cost analysis, and management of subcontractor recharges of materials and labour.
Ideally, you will have up to five years project accounting experience coupled with operational exposure preferably gained within rail rolling stock, heavy industrial, manufacturing or engineering sectors. This role is highly hands-on and requires a flexible approach to meet the changing needs and demands of the project. ABOUT YOU Tertiary level qualifications in Accounting or Commerce.
3 – 5 years similar project accounting experience. Previous experience in processing high volume work and processing of costs (e.g.
materials and labour hire). Advanced skills in Excel with ability to create pivot tables, database spreadsheets, and formulas. Systems level proficiency with JDE will be advantageous.
Exposure working within complex reporting structures. Strong analytical skills coupled with demonstrated success in being able to prioritise workloads and add value in a team environment. Strong customer service focus with a proactive approach to delivering on time.
Ability to develop, nurture and maintain sound relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Highly effective communication style teamed with strong inter-personal and influencing skills. WHAT WE OFFER An opportunity to work for a major ASX listed company.
