Requisition ID: BUS003055 A key enabler of the AP President, the Chief of Staff role supports all aspects of commercial and business leadership across the AP region working across the AP leadership team on areas of strategic planning, key project implementation and interface with MSD. Other Responsibilities include: Facilitate the development of the Regional Strategy and Profit Plan in coordination with AP President and the regional leadership team; ensure consistency with strategic intent and excellence in execution Coordinate and participate in country/cluster business reviews and ensure all follow up items are addressed and acted upon Collaborate with Finance to coordinate all finance forecasts and Profit Plan Manage the progress of regional projects, country/cluster review action items, and highlight course corrections and open issues to AP President Identify and develop key strategic communications in support of regional agenda in coordination with AP president and communication team Develop business update presentations in support and coordination with AP President, working closely with communications and regional leaders of key functions, i.e.

finance, HR and Country/Cluster Leadership Collaborate closely with MSD International leadership, Headquarters and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that all business critical connections are made and issues are resolved / escalated in a timely and efficient manner. Responsible to ensure the needs of the AP region are visible and acts as the "voice of the region" Ensure optimization of meetings within AP and align topics to key priorities Ensure that AP President is adequately prepared for all internal and external meetings, working with the relevant subject matter experts as needed Ensure presentations are aligned with strategic direction of the organization. Work closely with the appropriate groups to ensure that messages reflect the current thinking of the AP President and are appropriate for the given audience Proactively identify and execute projects of strategic importance to the AP President.

Projects are often cross-functional, cross-geographical and/or cross-divisional Act as a representative of the AP President on identified working groups / taskforce Qualifications Bachelor degree and advanced degree preferred with emphasis in Business, Marketing or Economics will be a differential. Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical, medical, science/health policy, information technology industry(s) Project Management experience in large, complex projects Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), results oriented project management, facilitation and consultative skills to influence decision making are required. Advanced expertise in financial management and knowledge of accounting practices Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), results oriented project management, facilitation and consultative skills to influen.
