Risk Manager (AO8)
Purpose of the role The Manager, Risk, Health Support Queensland (HSQ) is responsible for: contributing to the effectiveness of HSQ's overall governance frameworks development and implementation of the organisation's risk management framework and driving a culture of risk management in HSQ leading the co-ordination of HSQ's business continuity management and planning. The right person effectively engages others, communicates well, thinks strategically, is results-oriented and has a track record in data analytics to deliver insightful and timely risk reporting to the executive team. What we are looking for? You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability to deliver results related to the development and conduct of risk management programs and the coordination of the identification, assessment, management, reporting and review of risk, preferably in a large, complex, health service delivery organisation. Demonstrated skills and knowledge of the concepts and practices of strategic risk management and organisational analysis and improvement.
Demonstrated ability to develop and present strategic risk management advice and to research, prepare and present complex reports, including consideration of the organisational context in the making of recommendations, in a diverse, client service delivery organisation. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of business continuity and resilience plans and programs in a large, complex service delivery organisation. Demonstrated superior consultation and negotiation skills including communicating with influence.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviours..
