Production Planner/Scheduler People at Work have an opportunity for a Production Planner/Scheduler to be successful for this position you must be able to demonstrate work practices and commitment to OH&S systems and processes. This is a casual position to start with an opportunity to go permanent for the right person. Position Summary This role will plan jobs into the production system and also have the ability to schedule these jobs in Production.
This involves taking orders from Customers and planning the technical specifications of the job into the production system. The ability to schedule work is also important Attributes ● Ability to take customer information and create a job specification in the production system. ● Capable of planning and scheduling jobs into production schedule.
● Good technical skills and attention to detail with the ability to produce technical drawings etc. if required. ● Good communication skills, to be able to interact with Customers on orders and internally with production staff.
● Passionate about service excellence, delivering quality and solving problems ● Self-motivated, 'can-do' attitude, energetic, flexible, adaptable, responsible and accountable. Key result areas and Performance Targets: ● Create production specifications accurately and in a timely manner. ● Communicate with customers on order specification issues.
● Problem solve issues with product/job planning ● Ability to create CAD if required. ● Plan production schedules by product as required. ● Communicate with production team on orders, production schedule status.
● Identify opportunities for improvement and waste elimination.
