The Position St John of God Richmond Hospital is a 88 bed private psychiatric hospital located in a beautiful garden setting near the banks of the Hawkesbury River in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. We provide inpatient, day patient and outpatient treatment programs for numerous psychiatric specialty areas including Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Dependence Disorders, Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Psychogeriatric Disorders. We are currently seeking an experienced Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist to join our friendly and dynamic Allied Health team.

You will be responsible for the delivery of innovative programs that provide high-level clinical care to patients in groups and on an individual basis across a variety of acute psychiatric specialties. Full Psychologist registration with AHPRA is essential for further consideration. Applicants with Clinical Psychologist endorsement as well as Board-approved Supervisor Status will be highly regarded.

This position will be offered on permanent part time basis, working 48 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will have: A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) Eligible for Membership in an approved professional association and current endorsement in relevant area of practice where applicable High level written and oral communication skills Demonstrated organisational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team Experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy to acute psychiatric patients across a variety of acute psychiatric specialities in particular, trauma and stressor-related disorders Understanding of research and evidence based practise methodologies Demonstrated understanding of professional boundaries and willingness to participate in clinical supervision The Benefits: Salary Packaging Flexible Work Options Supportive & Friendly Team All applicants must address the Selection Criteria (as detailed on the last page of the Position Description).
