Cultural Liaison Officer - Aboriginal Reconciliation Liaison
Cultural Liaison Officer – Reconciliation Action Plan Location negotiable across our Gippsland sites Fixed term, part time (until end of September 2019) We are seeking a motivated person who identifies with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract (working 22.6 hours/week) as our Cultural Liaison Officer – Aboriginal Reconciliation Action Plan. This role will be instrumental in the facilitation of organisation-wide change and will be responsible for the consultation, engagement and overall achievement of our initiatives listed in our endorsed Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
Your key responsibilities will to: Liaise with the Executive Sponsor and RAP Working Group to review, implement and coordinate activities and actions and provide written program reports towards the implementation of the LCHS RAP. Increase engagement across LCHS with Aboriginal communities and increase awareness of culture and relevant issues so we can improve our services to and access for Aboriginal people. Help LCHS with a best approach to supporting our employees who identify as Aboriginal including chairing the Indigenous Staff Support Network meeting.
