Residential Care Officers
Position: Residential Care Officers Type: Full Time & Part Time Salary Range: $55k - $70K The Role Edway Labour Hire is continuously looking for Residential Care Officers for our clients and we currently have several positions available in NSW and VIC. As a Residential Care Officer, you will provide care and supervision for children or disabled persons in group housing or institutional care. Some of the key responsibilities include: · Assessing clients' needs and planning, developing and implementing educational, training and support programs · Interviewing clients and assessing the nature and extent of difficulties · Monitoring and reporting on the progress of clients · Referring clients to agencies that can provide additional help · Assessing community need and resources for health, welfare, housing, employment, training and other facilities and services · Liaising with community groups, welfare agencies, government bodies and private businesses about community issues and promoting awareness of community resources and services · Supporting families and providing education and care for children and disabled persons in service units, group housing and government institutions · Assisting young people to solve social, emotional and financial problems · Provide general nursing tasks when required General Requirements: Years of Experience: 3-5 years of relevant practical professional experience Education: At least a degree level of Education Developed skills in listening, supporting and dealing with challenging behaviors Experienced in looking after aged care people in a caring facility Background knowledge of developmental practices and educational theories Proven leadership and coordination skills If this sounds like the right role for you, please apply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV.
