CDU has partnered with SPEE3D to form the Advanced Manufacturing Alliance, a joint initiative to utilise a world-first 3D metal printing technology. The College of Engineering, IT and Environment (one of six Colleges at the University) delivers innovative and contemporary teaching and research in the areas of Engineering Information Technology and Environmental Science.
Incorporated within the College is the Research Institute for Environment and Livelihoods, a regional leader well equipped and mandated to take a comprehensive approach across the terrestrial, aquatic, coastal and marine ecosystems of the north. The position of Post-Doctoral Research Associate – Advanced Manufacturing Alliance will develop, conduct and oversee a sector of the research operations of the Alliance. This position will also develop, support and conduct industry-linked research projects, which may draw on expertise from within CDU and from other institutions.
The Post-Doctoral Research Associate will also be supportive and proactive in the promotion and advancement of the Alliance. To fulfil this position, you will be a highly motivated and independent with the ability to cope with ambiguity whilst being responsive to change. Demonstrated competence in the development and delivery of engineering research and development projects is required together with advanced skills in 3D printing, manufacturing, materials research, physics or software/algorithm development.
